Bienvenidos to the Land of Waves, Lakes and Volcanoes!
San Juan Del Sur merges local flavor with foreign influence creating an authentic fusion of relaxation, adventure and culture. San Juan Del Sur is home to some of the best surfing in the world and a vacation spot for many Nicaraguan families and tourists.
The locals of San Juan are what makes this place so special and there’s no shortage of small town charm, be it in the greetings of local passer by’s to a child’s smile, the camaraderie within the community creates a truly Nicaraguan experience for yogi travellers and expats alike.
This golden sand-fringed, crescent shaped stretch of beach, cocooned by stunning cliffs and a bay of resting boats is the gateway to some of Nicaragua’s best and most accessible beaches. Excellent surfing and welcoming locals makes San Juan Del Sur an ideal place to retreat and rejuvenate.

“Earth Fund” was created in 2007 thanks to the interest shown by a number of individuals and developments, including El Encanto del Sur, GrupoMax, and NicarAGUA , that wanted to promote the socio-economic development of the outlying communities of San Juan. There are more than 30 subsistence communities within 20 miles, ranging from under 50 people to more than 300, that have basic un-met needs in the areas of water purification, education, health, and sanitation among many others. Our team is composed of a group of dedicated and passionate people who provide support in our areas of focus. While we have an Executive Director providing oversight, key to our success is the help of many volunteers who participate in the construction and realization of these projects as well as donors and other key organizations with whom we collaborate with closely.

An incentive founded by New York born/Philadelphia raised Dyani Makous and flourished by the community, this project has grown into a local institution with volunteers reaching out from abroad to experience Nicaragua and assist it’s community. Zen Yoga are working with the Project in offering free yoga lessons to the children of the BPP. Weaving community, yoga and lifestyle is a part of Zen Yoga’s mission in creating a mind, body and soul enriching experience for all the community to experience and enjoy. Imparting education and

proud to be a part of this initiative and fall in love with these beautiful children!
