Kristen Claeys is an international yoga teacher from Austin, Texas. Yoga has been in her life since 2009, and she completed her first 200-hour yoga teacher training in Ashtanga Flow at Yoga London in 2016. Since then Kristen has gone on to finish an advanced 300-hour teacher training focusing on Vinyasa, Power and Restorative, 30 hours of instruction in Yin Yoga. Along with another 200-hour teacher training where she dove into the philosophical teachings of the practice.
After owning her businesses in Austin and living a stressful life, yoga is what showed Kristen her dharma. She is passionate about helping others find their path within their practice. It is essential to her to not only teach the asana practice on the mat but also show students how to use yoga to better their lives not only in the studio but off the mat too.
Kristen believes yoga is accessible to all individuals. When she began practicing, she felt inadequate and uncomfortable and understands everyone is on their own journey. Therefore Kristen creates an environment that is warm and inviting for all levels of students. She wants all her students to feel confident where they are as individuals and in their yoga practices. Kristen teaches a firey vinyasa class with plenty of modifications for all to enjoy and challenge themselves while keeping things soft and slow in her gentle flow classes.
