Laurabeth has dedicated herself to the practice, study and teaching of yoga since discovering its joys and benefits in 2004. In 2008 she had a dream of doing yoga on a beach in Thailand. The next day she cleared her schedule booked a flight and backpacked South East Asia for 3 months. It was on a this retreat she decided she wanted to spread the light and begin to teach. Ever since she has been on a life long path seeking truth and inspiring others to awaken to their fullest potential.
LB is certified in vinyasa, hatha, yin and restorative yoga. She is a trained meditation teacher and runs a non profit Soul Warrior Yoga for Youth that offers kids yoga teacher trainings across Newfoundland. She is an ambassador for Lululemon and loves planning unique events for the yoga community. Her favourite classes to teach are balanced with a meditative yin sequence followed by a fiery yang flow.
Off the mat she is a contemporary dancer, indie music enthusiast, mountain peek seeker, vegan foodie, kitchen dance party expert and world traveler. She wears her heart on her sleeve and always looks for the best in any situation.
From living with the Masai in Africa, to climbing solo to Base Camp Everest in Nepal, to leading a dance parade in Rio, Brazil during Carnival, to planting trees in an Eco-commune in India, to summiting Kilimanjaro then jumping out of a plane only hours after the 8-day trek, Teresa truly embraces life to the fullest! Her bohemian ways and wanderlust thirst has now taken her to a place where she has truly found everything she has been searching for across the globe, and it was right under her feet, being on her yoga mat.
Teresa holds a BA degree in English Literature, but her true passion is teaching yoga, nutrition and supporting women through birth as a Doula. In 2010 she graduated from The Institute of Holistic Nutrition as a Certified Holistic Nutrition Practitioner, and in 2012 she began her yoga teaching journey globally. She obtained yoga certifications in 200HR YTT, 220HR Kundalini YYT, Prenatal, Postnatal, and Core Strength Vinyasa throughout Canada, USA and India. Teresa currently proudly teaches in her hometown at various yoga studios in the city leading yoga, nutrition, birth and full moon workshops and wellness programs.
